Press Release
Espoo, Finland – Nokia has announced three new handsets – the Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5 – designed to put better messaging and social networking tools in the hands of more people around the world, at affordable prices. These new handsets feature full QWERTY keyboards, and enable access to a range of different email accounts, IM communities and social networks.
“Our messaging device range is very successful,” said Anssi Vanjoki, Nokia’s Head of Markets. “Services that provide easy access to the world’s consumer and corporate email and instant messaging are really popular on our QWERTY smartphones such as the Nokia E71 and Nokia E63. People want the best messaging and social networking experience on an affordable device, whether it’s sending a simple text or instant message, an email, or a direct message from their Twitter account. The Nokia C3, Nokia C6 and Nokia E5 are made for just that.”
The Nokia C3 is the first device to bring a full QWERTY keyboard to the world’s most popular mobile phone platform – Series 40 – and is the first in the range to enable access to social networks directly on the homescreen. People can view, comment, update their status and share pictures to their favorite social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.
At an estimated price of EUR 90, before taxes and subsidies, the Nokia C3 also comes with Ovi Mail and Ovi Chat, meaning first time users can set up email and chat accounts straight from the device, without the need for a PC. Other notable features are the Wi-Fi connectivity, a two megapixel camera, rich color 2.4 inch screen and support for up to an 8GB memory card. The Nokia C3 is expected to be available in the second quarter of 2010 in a variety of appealing colors, including golden white, slate grey and hot pink.
The Nokia C6 is a Symbian-based smartphone combining the benefits of a 3.2 inch touch screen with a full slide out keyboard. The large screen provides a great Internet experience, as well as offering access to Facebook feeds directly on the homescreen. A full suite of email and social networking capabilities means the Nokia C6 is perfect for people who want to stay up to date while on the go.
Expected to be available in the second quarter of 2010 at an estimated price of EUR 220, before taxes and subsidies, the Nokia C6 has an impressive feature set including a high quality five megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, and Ovi Maps with free walk and drive navigation. In addition, thousands of apps – from games and videos to news aggregators and web services – are available in the Ovi Store.
Rounding off the trio is the latest addition to the Nokia Eseries range, the Nokia E5. Designed for those that want to be productive in both their professional and personal lives, the Symbian-based Nokia E5 follows the successful blueprint of devices such as the Nokia E72 and Nokia E63. The Nokia E5 combines high quality business features with all of the personal networking and entertainment capabilities that a busy professional expects from a smartphone.
The Nokia E5 is perfect for managing busy schedules with a variety of productivity applications available in the Ovi Store. And with direct access to over 90 percent of the world’s corporate email through Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler, it’s easy to keep in contact from anywhere.

Great things that have yet to be invented:

1. Nanobot clothing that conforms to your body in a flattering way. So that those of us with rippling six packs can have our glutes and abs shine steel like through tight black leather, while the rest of the blubbering masses will be safely shielded in just a slight thin layer of vertically striped cloth.

2. Cell phones that connect all devices. You’re listening to a CD in your car, halfway through that killer guitar riff on track 6 and you’ve got to stop for smokes and a Nutrigrain bar at the closest KwikiCorner. No need to panic, thanks to WiFi and your cell phone’s speakers, you just click a button and now you’re blasting tunes like never before and all of the ladies love you.

3. Semi-circle rear view mirrors. Instead of having rear view mirrors that are flat planes and show you what’s out your back window, have them curved so that all of your blind spots are covered as well. This one would make me millions if I’d sit down and get the patent.

4. Living pictures. Not like those weak simulations of waterfalls that you see at malls, but full on views of some remote location. Only a short amount of video would actually be needed, maybe a week’s worth, with the trees swaying slightly and in different prepensities, and various little animals could come out at certain times, the sun would rise, zenith and set, rain and snow and the occasional wayward wanderer would appear. This would be a wonderful way to experience the desert while living in Alaska.

If you’d like to create any of these things, you can either do so on your own and totally screw me, or maybe do it and send me one – that should make us even, though I wouldn’t pass up a $100million check if it came my way.

Life = Thinking

The Socrates story that inspired me a lot ....Must read

This story which I happened to read in one of my friends blog inspired me a lot. Do read it...

Once there was a young boy who went to Socrates seeking how he could be successful. Socrates told to meet him at the river bank the next day morning.

The two met at the river bank and Socrates asked the boy to join him to cross the river. The two walked across the river until the water level came till the neck of the boy. Immediately Socrates pulled the boy and drowned his head inside the water. The boy started suffocating. Socrates held him in water until the boy turned blue and released him out. The boy desperately took a long breath.

Socrates then asked, “What was man inside water for so long desperate for?”

The boy replied, “It’s the air”.

Socrates then told that if the boy had been desperate for success like he had been for air he would definitely be successful.

“Success can be achieved by sheer determination and desperation and not by mere desire.”

STRESS

STRESS is already a part of daily living. You may never know it but you are already affected by this issue. You shout at your kids or nag your partner about something. You seem to raise an issue out of a particular event even if it is not true. You also tend to be suspicious at some points. All these are due to stress.

Scientifically, stress is a state of high tension or pressure, resulting from an accident or injury or a psychological reaction of heightened emotional response. Certain occupations are particularly stressful, such as acting, advertising, controlling air traffic, politics, investing and gambling. As an effect of stressful emotions such as panic attacks, fear and anger, the blood pressure rises, the pulse beats faster, breathing is accelerated, digestion stops, and the adrenal glands become overactive.

MAJOR FACTS FOR STRESS:

1. It can be caused by many factors. Fear and anxiety are the greatest causes of psychological stress. In modern times people are constantly beset by the threat of calamities. They fear depression and inflation, unemployment, cancer and heart failure, missiles and bombs and famine. At home they may be confronted with marital incompatibility, quarrels, family illness, or financial troubles.

2. It can also cause something. Many illnesses are caused by mental stress, including ulcers, spastic constipation, diarrhea, high blood pressure and migraine headaches. Sometimes latent mental disorders are precipitated by stressful circumstances, as in the case of manic-depressive psychosis, schizophrenia, hysteria and neurasthenia.

3. It can worsen through time. When a person is subjected to repeated stresses, she is likely to develop what people call nervous breakdown, an unscientific but expressive term. The stress produced by the problems of everyday living has led to the widespread use of tranquilizers, a last resort when there seems to be no escape from a difficult situation.

4. It happens in daily living. Stress exists in almost every human activity and is not the same as nerve tension. Some stress is beneficial since it may stimulate action.

5. It can be lessened through healthy intimate relationships. Psychiatrists also found out that for the avoidance of excessive stress being married is better than being divorced or single.

6. There are major stressful events connected to it. Studies also showed that the death of a child is the most stressful of any life’s events. Other items include a jail sentence, major financial problems, divorce and the beginning of an extra-marital affair. Some of the environmental factors that may be related to stress are the status of health, the social class, and the size of the household.

7. There are also some stresses that cannot be controlled. Too much stress can show itself in various emotional, behavioral and physical signs, and the signs of stress differ extremely according to each individual.

Usual Physical, Emotional and Behavioral Signs of Stress:

The physical indications of stress include sleep interruptions, tense muscles, annoyance, gastrointestinal problem, and exhaustion. Its emotional and behavioral indications consist of apprehension, fear, alterations in eating practices, depleted energy, and mood swings. All of the symptoms given cannot tell whether a person has an elevated stress level because these indications may be due to other medical or mental problems.

It is also a fact that persons in stress are most likely to maintain harmful activities like drug and alcohol addiction, excessive cigarette smoking, and poor eating habits. These harmful activities can extremely add to the severity of the indications connected to stress.

Remember that all people may be prone to stress – no matter what age you are in and no matter what status of life you have. The extent may vary also depending on how you take up the challenge that goes with it. If you have a support system with you, it is easy to do away with the situation. But at the worse, it may only lead you to panic attacks.

HAPPYNESS

Here is the simple Definition of Happiness?
Happiness is a state of mind or feeling characterized by contentment, love, satisfaction, pleasure, or joy.

Ya Everyone knows this happyness but what about this happiness(True Happiness),
Everywhere people are trying to keep themselves happy but why these stress hormone such as cortisol, GH and norepinephrine will keep you to be in a state of happiness ...this means everyone who thinks he is happy ,hardly he will be happy or he would be trying to keep himself happy.....

Because he is only trying to keep himself happy not he determined to be happy nor he made someone happy......A true happiness comes by helping someone which one cannot repay by money or anything else, one will realize when one will feel this true happiness....

By helping only the above statement of happiness can be true..
